This utility will upgrade the ROM BIOS to version 2.01 (043096x) on the TravelMate 5000/5100/5200/5300 notebooks. This BIOS release provides enhanced support for Docking Systems. Download to your HDD and type FLASHROM. This self-extracting file will expand into 3 files. Type UPDATE to create the TravelMate 5000 Series FLASH BIOS diskette. Includes a Readme file. THIS BIOS IS TO BE USED ON TM5000/5100/5200/5300 MODEL NOTEBOOKS ONLY.

This self-extracting zip file contains the IBM OS/2 Warp video drivers for the TravelMate 5000/5100/5200 Series notebooks. These OS/2 Warp video drivers are for use with the Cirrus Logic GD754x Series of PCI Video controllers. Download to your HDD and type TM5WARPV. Contains a Readme file with instructions for installation and a brief description of video modes supported.

Windows 95

This self-extracting file contains the Cirrus Logic v2.3 video drivers for the Cirrus Logic GD754x video controller and provides support for Microsoft Windows 95. Download to your HDD and type CL754x95. This will expand into three files. Type UPDATE to create the TravelMate 5000/5100/5200 Series notebook Windows 95 video drivers diskette. Includes a Readme file.

This utility will upgrade the ROM on your Texas Instruments XJ3288R 28.8kbps PC Card modem to a 33.6kbps modem. After upgrading to 33.6kbps you should be able to connect at speeds up to 33.6kbps speed when connecting to another 33.6kbps modem. You should also obtain the highest speed possible when connecting to a 28,800bps modem, and faster connection negotiation. THIS UPGRADE HAS BEEN CERTIFIED TO WORK ON THE TEXAS INSTRUMENTS XJ3288R FOR WIN95 ONLY. DOS / Windows 3.11

This self-extracting file contains the Cirrus Logic v2.3 video drivers for the Cirrus Logic GD754x video controller and provides support for Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11 Download to your HDD and type CL754X31. This will create three files. Type UPDATE to create the TravelMate 5000/5100/5200 Series notebook Windows for Workgroups 3.11 video drivers diskette. Includes a Readme file.

YOU WILL NEED TO ENTER YOUR TM5000 NOTEBOOK SERIAL NUMBER IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD THIS FILE.
This self-extracting file updates Phoenix Technologies' Phoenix Card and Socket Services 3.11 to Phoenix Card and Socket Services v3.20. PCM v3.20 provides XMS support to provide better overall usage of drivers and configuration programs for PCMCIA cards. Download to your HDD and type TM5PCM. This will expand all files needed to the default directory. Run PCMSETUP to install.
NOTE: THIS PROGRAM IS FOR USE ONLY ON TRAVELMATE 5000 SERIES NOTEBOOKS.

This file is an update to the Windows for Workgroups 3.11 graphics configuration utility for TravelMate 5000 only. This utility allows the you to change the monitor type, video resolution and colors, plus fonts size and refresh rates. If your notebook shipped with WFW 3.11 and you already have WINMODE.EXE in the C:\VGAUTILS subdirectory you can use this file to update it. To install copy WINMODE.EXE into your VGAUTILS subdirectory and replace the current WINMODE.EXE. THIS FILE IS FOR WINDOWS FOR WORKGROUPS 3.11 ONLY.

This self-extracting file contains the Windows for Workgroups 3.11 Recovery Diskette for the TravelMate 5000/5100/5200/5300 Series notebooks. The recovery diskette is a bootable diskette containing software that enables you to run diagnostics and restore minimum system files. The recovery diskette also helps if you need to restore the operating system from backup floppy diskettes. Download to your HDD, then click on TM50RCVR. This will create your TM5x00 recovery diskette. To install, shutdown Windows and reboot your notebook with the recovery diskette in A:\. Contains a readme.
